Our online forum is a full-featured social network designed to foster interaction and long-lasting connections between young leaders passionate about the change and difference they can bring about to this world. The IYLN brings together young people interested in unique capacity building programs that strengthen their leadership potential, as well as professionals interested in mentoring these future world leaders.Governed by the Alumni Advisory Board, this site was designed primarily for the benefit of the alumni and the affiliates of the IYLN Participating Programmes. The purpose of our network is to provide a forum for:
- showcasing professional, academic and personal successes of our alumni;
- building upon the networking opportunities available to them;
- sharing and exchanging project ideas, thoughts about the current state of affairs, as well as useful resources;
- creating searchable profiles and portfolios;
- sharing and gaining expertise in various fields of knowledge;
- and simply enjoying the company of like-minded people.
At this time, the network is exclusive and reserved for the alumni of the International Youth Leadership Conference, the International Youth Leadership Africa project, and the Insight: Dubai. Additional memberships may be awarded by the Alumni Advisory Board to those individuals and institutions that commit to benefiting this network in unique ways. Participating Programmes
International Youth Leadership Conference
IYLC is a week-long youth forum on world politics, international relations and justice. Hosted biannually in Prague, Czech Republic, the IYLC brings together 120 students from 40 different countries for an open-minded exchange of diverse perspectives on contemporary global challenges. Being an unparalleled learning opportunity, the IYLC blends social interaction with cultural and academic components to create a cohesive experience that promotes cross-cultural youth empowerment and socially responsible leadership.
2011 China International Youth Festival
The Youth Summit will feature a three day Global Development Youth Summit which will be held in Beijing. Our main target participants for the Youth Summit are outstanding youth representatives who are formally enrolled in renowned universities and colleges in US and China as well as excellent young leaders and practitioners (aged 16-30) from around the world. Throughout the summit, there will be various cultural and arts performances and a good number of networking parties to further strengthen the connections among youth.
Youth Assembly at the UN
The Youth Assembly is an annual gathering of hundreds of young people from around the world who seek practical ways to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, global networking and social entrepreneurship skills as well as meeting with and contributing to civil society formally affiliated with the United Nations.

A week-long youth forum on world politics, international relations and justice will give you an opportunity to test your leadership skills, debate current issues, deliver speeches, draft resolutions, make executive decisions, and realize through experience the complexities of international relations.
International Youth Leadership Africa
IYLA is a weeklong conference, which will be attended by 200 students from Africa (African participants) and around the world (International participants). The week will consist of site visits, panel discussions, special events, and simulations of important African Intergovernmental Organisations, which will culminate at the end of the week with a Model Pan-African Parliament. There will be several events and topics of discussion during the week that will be used later in the Model Parliament Debate.

Nqobizitha Mlilo was born in a small rural town in the Midlands Province in Zimbabwe on the 18th of July 1981. He did his pre-tertiary education at Njerere government primary school, Mvuma primary school and St Francis of Assisi High school, before enrolling at the University of Cape Town in South Africa where he did law. It is while he was the University of Cape Town student movement that he was introduced the Civic Concepts International, attending the conference as a participant, and the 2004 conference as a facilitator. After completing his law degree, he briefly practiced till he was thrown into full time national politics as the Political Liaison and spokesperson of the Regional Office of the Movement for Democratic Change in South Africa. Mlilo is currently an assistant of Zimbabwe's Minister of Economic Planning and Investment Promotion, Hon Elton Mangoma MP. Mlilo is convinced that the future of Africa is incrementally bright and full of hope with the emergence of African leadership committed to democracy and respect for human rights. Young people across the world, not least Africans, have a cardinal responsibility of removing the causes of conflict and human suffering.
